Netlify, Inc. hosts and secures this site, processing internet protocol addresses, requested pages and browser information. For newsletter signups, it forwards your email address to Brevo and limits repeated requests. Its worldwide network includes the United States (service providers). Its data processing agreement provides for standard contractual clauses where required.

cyon AG provides domain registration and domain name resolution, processing technical connection data to direct you to this site.

Google Workspace, provided by Google Cloud EMEA Limited, processes your email address, messages and attachments so I can answer inquiries. Processing may take place in Ireland, the United States and other locations, with standard contractual clauses where required under its data processing agreement.

Brevo sends a confirmation email and, after you confirm, new writing through my newsletter. Subscribing is optional and requires your email address. It keeps your address and subscription, confirmation, delivery and unsubscribe records. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of each newsletter email. This does not automatically delete stored records. Brevo's tracking images and redirected links record email opens, link clicks, internet protocol addresses and timestamps. Its terms and data processing agreement describe statistics, service operation and security purposes. Its privacy policy also describes its own use of data to prevent spam and fraud. I do not use these data to profile readers or personalize newsletters. Brevo’s published documents describe storage in France, Germany and Belgium, with infrastructure or support processing in the United States and India. Its data processing agreement provides for standard contractual clauses where required.

How long data is kept depends on subscription duration, correspondence, delivery and security needs, and the need to document consent, honor unsubscribe requests or meet legal obligations.
