Goodbye Germany.

From 15th of October on I will work as a „Human Centered Design Expert“ for Swisscom in Berne, Switzerland.

Switzerland offers some interesting challenges for user/design-research with its multicultural and multilingual background. Furthermore it’s an exciting time to work for a telecommunication company, as they are on the verge of becoming mere data pipelines, unless they start to innovate and position themselves as service-, content- and/or experience-providers reaching beyond the technical infrastructure.

I believe that challenging your comfort zone from time to time is essential to have diverse experiences. A broad range of experiences will expand your horizon both personally and professionally.

The coming days are packed with meetings, bureaucracy of international relocation and some moments to meet new colleagues and friends – just enough time to adapt to the Swiss lingo.

It’s the journey, not the destination.
